My story

[p]I'm running the London Marathon in April! [/p] [p]"Shut the front door! Why are you doing that? Are you guna wear a massive rhino costume?"[/p] [p]No, I will not be wearing a rhino costume. Here are my reasons for doing it.[/p] [p]1) Those foil sheets you get at the end will be handy for the turkey at Christmas.[/p] [p]2) I get to carb load loads with my fave carb: milkshake.[/p] [p]3) I get to raise money for Breast Cancer Care which is a charideeee which means a lot to me due to the strong history of breast cancer within my family including my mumma. Thankfully she made it through. But not everyone does. Breast Cancer Care is there to provide support and guidance to the 550,000 people living with breast cancer in the UK at any one time, and well as their families. 550,000. How crazy is that. And Breast Cancer Care aims to be there for ALL these people at this scary time - whether it's information about diagnosis via leaflets, websites and helplines or advice from volunteers who've experienced the illness themselves, to raising awareness of breast cancer in younger women and providing them with the unique support that they require, Breast Cancer Care is there. For everyone. And raising money for them ensures that if you or I, or anyone we love gets dealt this **** card, they'll be there for them too. And that's certainly something I think is worth running 26 miles for. [/p] [p]"Wow- that's actually a pretty solid pitch. God you're an incredible writer. Okay I'll donate something - how much do you want?"[/p] [p]I'll take anything. Even if it's a quid I'll have it. If it's more, brilliant. Or if you can't afford to donate, then come along and cheer me on on the day.[/p] [p]"Okay cool... if you ran in a rhino costume I'd probabaly donate a bit more...."[/p] [p]THERE WILL BE NO RHINO COSTUME.[/p] [lt]div class="page" title="Page 11"[gt] [lt]/div[gt]
