[p]As close friends and family know, I very very recently experienced an Ectopic pregnancy early on in mine and Calums second failed pregnancy. For those who don’t know what this is (like I never really did) it simply means a pregnancy in the wrong place (in the Fallopian tube) it happens in 1 in every 80 pregnancies and can be life threatening due to the chance of the tube rupturing and leaving the woman to internally bleed, which is what happened to me and after lots of medication to try and save this from happening, I was rushed to A and E with internal bleeding and had to have emergency surgery to remove the burst tube leaving me with 1. [/p][p]After some time to gather what’s happened in the last month or so I’ve decided to fundraise for the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust. The trust is amazing the website is used by so many woman and men, to share their stories, gain understanding and reassurance through the information provided and also to offer help during and after the experience of an ectopic. I certainly used it to read other stories to be able to relate to others and to know that although it’s a huge and scary thing it’s ok. I also needed a lot of reassurance that being able to conceive with 1 tube is possible despite the fact it may take longer, as this was the scariest and hardest part for me.[/p][p] In the month of February I will run a mile every day to raise money for the charity. I won’t ask anyone to personally donate I am just putting this out there as an option for anyone who wishes to and I will appreciate anything, even just acknowledgment that this has been heard to spread awareness of this condition is amazing, as it isn’t often spoken about.[/p][p]This also won’t be the only fundraising I do as I hope to make this an ongoing thing and to also hopefully volunteer for the charity in the future to share my experience and offer help to anyone going through the same. I also want to add that this is noooo way shape or form looking for sympathy Its just something that’s really close to me now and I want to give back to the charity which I can’t do without sharing. Thank you if you made it this far to read I really appreciate it. Happy New Year troops, let’s hope 2021 is a better one 🎗💜[/p]
