My story

[p]We are Charlie and Adam, two Emergency Medicine doctors from Exeter and a married couple trading A&E for the sea and taking on “the World’s toughest row”, the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge (TWAC). On the 12th December 2021 we will depart from La Gomera in the Canary Islands on Percy our 24ft ocean rowing boat and begin an unassisted 3000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean, towards Antigua. To date, more people have climbed Everest than have rowed an ocean. [/p][p]We are aiming to beat the mixed pair world record and will be the first married couple to race in TWAC. [/p][p]We will use the row to further our research into sex differences between male and female physiology and psychology in ultra-endurance events and promote equal participation in sport. [/p][p]With your help we are hoping to raise £100,000 for essential frontline medical charities; Devon Air Ambulance, RNLI, Mind & RD&E Charity.[/p][p]Please see our website for the full charity details.
