My story

[p]I have been lucky enough to gain another place this year through my new job and everyone knows I love a challenge! So I may be slightly further behind on my training than last year but the New Year is here and it's time to step up! [/p][p]This year I have chosen to run in aid of 2 charities - [/p][p]Bart's run 5 hospitals across London and supports the incredible work of their staff and funds ground breaking research, state-of-the-art equipment and innovative healthcare projects.[/p][p]Julia's House is a children's hospice near my hometown in Dorset. They provide practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at their hospices. [/p][p]I know many of you were generous with your sponsorship last year, but if you have even just a penny or pound to spare, then myself and the 2 charities would really appreciate it! [/p][p]If you still need some convincing, I've got 5 reasons why I'd love for you to sponsor me![/p][p]1. Because I’ve madly done it once and somehow thought it would be good idea to do it again.[/p][p]2. Barts Charity saved the life of a close family member of mine and without the knowledge, technology and facilities they had, then we wouldn’t have been so lucky.[/p][p]3. Julia’s House does incredible work for families in the most tragic situations. No one expects to outlive their child but unfortunately this is reality for some families and Julia’s House help them through these difficult and stressful times.[/p][p]4. For the next 4 months, I’ll be spending my evenings and weekends dodging London’s terrible drivers, countless people and suffering the lovely British weather to get some miles under my belt![/p][p]5. And basically, 26.2 miles is a bloody long way![/p]
