My story

[p]I can't believe I did it!! It took me 2h 52 min to run 13 miles (21.8km!!) from the Tower of London to the Cutty Sark. It turned out to be less hard than I thought although the last 2 miles were never ending....so I slowed down a lot. It was so moving to cross the finish line in front of that clipper... I had to hold my tears.... I personally needed the challenge. Thank you again to all of you for your moral support and your contributions to The Prison Phoenix Trust!!! xxxx[/p][p]PS I attach a picture following the race in Greenwich Village, as you can see our little one was fascinated with mummy's medal :-D[/p][p]***********************************************************************************************************************[/p][p]On March 4 I will be running the London Big Half Marathon from Tower Bridge to the Cutty Sark! It is a new event for which I won an entry through my health insurance. I will be running along some Olympic athletes like Sir Mo Farah, although I am not expecting less than at least 3h difference in our results... However, having given birth only six month ago I will be happy enough if I manage to keep moving from the start to the end. I will certainly try and do my best![/p][p]Running has been the best post natal form of exercise and meditation to keep me sane in a big city on my own ... I have been training at 5am and 6 am a couple of times a week and also late evenings... Furthermore, since I had to stop teaching yoga early in my pregnancy (something I did in the evenings after my main job purely with fundraising purposes) I decided to run this event for the charity I dedicate my yoga practice: The Prison Phoenix Trust .[/p][p]They are a small local charity based in Oxford however the scope of their work is global. I taught yoga in Holloway and Wormwood Scrubs Prisons through them... and I could see the immediate and positive impact of yoga in prisoners from all layers of society and from every corner of the world.... with my own eyes. [/p][p]I do believe this is a charity whose work should be supported without a doubt for the benefit of everyone in every sense.[/p][p]I hope you can help me through the link below. It’s absolutely safe to donate with Virgin but if you prefer to do it in a different way please let me know.[/p][p]Whether you can help me or not with a small donation, your moral support will be equally important to help me finish the race. I do mean it![/p][p]Lots of love to you all.[/p][p]Eva[/p][p]-----[/p][p]Eva Nicolas-Amoros Bobker[/p][p]Fund-raising for The Prison Phoenix Trust [/p][p]2018 The Big Half London Marathon[/p]
