Team story

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]This year I was lucky to be selected to be a part of The Project Trust Organisation.[/p][p]I will be working as a volunteer for 12 months from August this year working under the auspices of the charity COPA, in the far south-west of Dominican Republic. My role consists of teaching Art and English and providing social care. I will also be involved in community projects and activities, immersing myself fully in the lifestyle and culture whilst living in the COPA house, adjacent to the school with my partner. During this time, I will be thrown in at the deep end by having to speak Spanish![/p][p]My time in Dominican Republic will bring challenges I have never faced before, emotionally and physically. However, these challenges will be life changing for me and hopefully for those I will be supporting.[/p][p]This Just Giving page will enable me to update you on all my fundraising activities and your support will be gratefully received, however small (or large!)[/p][p]If you want to find out any more about Project Trust, here is the link http://projecttrust.org.uk/ and this is my project link http://projecttrust.org.uk/dominican-republic-gap-year/copa-la-hoya/[/p][p]Lots of love,[/p][p]Eve[/p][p]Upcoming Events...[/p][p]This weekend will see a number of us undertake a 102km walking challenge along the Stour Valley Path that links Newmarket to the coast at Seafeld Bay near Manningtree. We aim to start at 4:30 am on Saturday 11th June and complete the first 55k before dusk and re-join the trail on Sunday and hopefully finish before sundown for fish & chips with a view of the sea! [/p][p][lt]br /[gt][/p][p][/p]
