My story

[p]I shall again by running (not racing !) the London Royal Parks Half Marathon raising funds for the International Seafarers Welfare Assistance Network ISWAN. The plight of the seafarer is often overlooked and taken for granted by the general public, over 95% of all goods arrive into the UK by sea - just have a look at your running gear, bikes, components, in fact anything you own and see where it has been made. The chances are it's come from outside the UK and therefore has been carried by a ship. Seafarers spend a long time away from their home and families; loneliness, long working hours, poor working conditions and bad weather can be encountered by them whilst delivering your goods ! ISWAN provide help and assistance to those seafarers when needed. I would be grateful if you could take your time to share this page. Any donation towards this cause would be very much appreciated by all - Thanks ![/p]
