My story

[p][/p][lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]Evelina London Children’s Hospital, in partnership with the London Fire Brigade, are organising a 450 metre zip wire challenge on Friday 2nd December to cross the river Thames from the top of St Thomas’ Hospital, a mere 120 feet above ground, and the Victoria Tower Gardens next to the House of Lords.[lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]There are only 20 people taking part in this once in a lifetime event – never before has anything like this been attempted over the Thames – and to mark this special occasion we aiming to raise £1million in total for Evelina London Children’s Hospital. The money raised from the event will help create much needed dedicated clinical research facilities to allow researchers and clinicians to pioneer more life-saving procedures, to improve diaognostic methods, and to understand more about childhood diseases.  [lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]As head of the Children’s Allergy Service at Evelina London, and Professor of Paediatric Allergy Research at King’s College London, I shall be taking on this challenge to raise vital funds for the new Children’s Allergy Clinical Research Facility. This new facility will enable my colleagues and I to grow research activity and continue our ground-breaking studies into prevent allergies in children. The new Children’s Allergy Clinical Research Facility will bring together expertise in a collaborative environment, designed with young children in mind. [lt]/div[gt] [lt]div id="_mcePaste" style="position: absolute; left: -10000px; top: 0px; width: 1px; height: 1px; overflow: hidden;"[gt]I am hoping to raise £50,000 towards our collective £1million target and I would be grateful if you would offer to sponsor me.[lt]/div[gt] [p] Evelina London Children’s Hospital, in partnership with the London Fire Brigade, are organising a 450 metre zip wire challenge on Friday 2nd December to cross the river Thames from the top of St Thomas’ Hospital, a mere 120 feet above ground, and the Victoria Tower Gardens next to the House of Lords.[/p][p]There are only 20 people taking part in this once in a lifetime event – never before has anything like this been attempted over the Thames – and to mark this special occasion we aiming to raise £1million in total for Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
