Team story

[p]The Goathland Plough Stots are a traditional long sword dance team who are based on the North Yorkshire Moors. [/p][p]We still dance the original dances that have been passed down since the start of the early 19th century. [/p][p]Our challenge is to climb the three highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis) England (Scar-fell pike) and Wales (Snowdon) back to back within a 24 hour time limit, but with a twist. We plan to complete our figures (dances) at the top of each peak, complete with instruments and ling swords. [/p][p]This is a total 23 miles of walking, 3064 foot of accent, at least dances and of course 462 miles of driving! [/p][p]We are doing this on Saturday the 21st of September 2019, with September being Childhood Cancer Awarenesses Month. [/p][p]The charity we are supporting is the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group. They provide amazing support for children with cancer and their families thought-out the UK. [/p][p]Please give as much as you can to support this wonderful charity.[/p]
