Team story

[p]Thank you for visiting our Virgin Money Giving page.[/p][p]Rachel is running the London Marathon - 26 miles 385 yards on foot[/p][p]Andy and Ashley are taking part in Nightrider London - cycling 65 miles in the dark[/p][p]Steve and Adam are cycling 100 miles in Prudential Ride London[/p][p]You can find out more about us, our plans and preparation here. but in summary, we celebrate the fact that despire a difficult start to life, Bethany born at 27 weeks weighing just 1lb 7oz will be 10 this year. We remember with sadness that Arthur didn't make it and was borrn sleeping at 32 weeks. Both graphic reminders that we still have some way to go to ensuring every pregnancy runs its course and produces healthy babies.[/p][p]Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. Tommy's want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and take home happy healthy babies. [/p][p]Tommy's give over £1.5 million a year to four research centres to carry out vital work on preventing pregnancy loss. Their research centres also have clinics which provide specialised antenatal care for women who are at high risk of having miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. They also give people the opportunity to be part of our research through taking part in trials for pioneering new treatments.[/p][p]Tommy's are supported by people like us, who want to do something about the lack of research and information around pregnancy issues. By 2030 they want to halve the number of babies who die during pregnancy or birth. We are fundraising to help Tommy's prevent parents from going through baby loss, provide information to empower women through pregnancy and to support those who have suffered pregnancy complications or loss,[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us, and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Tommy's. [/p][p]Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p][p]Thank you for taking the time to read our page. Please donate to this fantastic cause who are doing ground breaking work in saving babies' lives! We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donation.[/p]
