My story

[p]It all started last year when I was chatting to a fellow Dad at my son's Trinity school disco, I had just finished my first ever olympic triathalon and he mentioned that he was planning on organising a big cycling event the following year.  7 months on and in January I had signed up to a 24 hour ride from Henley to Paris and was sitting in a bike shop buying my first ever road bike, it seems that trying to ride a mountain bike to Paris would not be a good idea.  Warning signs might suggest mid life crisis, I turn 40 this year!!![/p][p]Anyway after joining the world of strava and meeting a few other like minded dad's (mad) who get up at 6am on a weekend morning to cycle round the chiltern valleys, ensuring we at least challenge ourselves to 3 hills each ride, I am starting to feel a bit more prepared.  Though 200 miles does sound a very long way away.  [/p][p]Anyway if you are able to donate anything to support the two local charities of the Friends of Trinity School and the Chiltern centre, we are fund raising for, any donation would be greated accepted.  Also if you have any tips, please feel free to share, although my best mates main tip was helpfully you need to lose weight!!! Cheers mate[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
