My story

[p]My name is Grant and I'm a fire fighter at pollok fire station.[/p][p]I'd like to raise some money for 2 great charity's. The Fire fighters charity & MND Scotland in memory of a colleague and friend who we sadly lost this year to MND Brian MacDonald. [/p][p]It's been a hard year for everyone, more so for charity's and Brian's family. So I wanted to do my bit and show that we are still thinking of him, that he is still making a difference and that his memory lives on.[/p][p]I had wanted to do a climb but with everything going on I have not been able to. So prolife gym have kindly allowed me to use their step climber. I plan to climb 10,000 steps in my full fire fighting kit and with a BA set on my back. Just to put that into perspective that is higher than Ben Nevis which is roughly 9000 steps. [/p][p]I know it's been tough for everyone recently and people might not have alot of money but every penny makes a difference.[/p][p]Thank you so much and i hope you're all ok. It's a hard time right now and Brian was a great guy and the charity's helped him alot and I wanted to do something to raise awareness and give back[/p]

Good luck Grant. A very generous thing to do just before Christmas - proud of you and the effort you put into your fitness. We donate to charity in lieu of sending Christmas cards so this donation is our first one. xxx
