My story

[p]Hello friends,[/p][p]As part of my gap year, I will be undertaking 3 major (for me anyway!) challenges throughout the year in order to raise money for the fantastic charity that is Teenage Cancer Trust. This is a care and support charity in the UK that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people aged 13-24.[/p][p]My main motivation behind this fundraising is so that the charity continues to be supported in helping young people with cancer. Jake Andrews was a friend at Cranleigh and despite his incredibly brave battle with cancer for nearly 2 years, he passed away in February 2017. TCT provided the most amazing care and support to Jake, his family and his friends throughout his battle and I would like to raise as much as possible, so that this care can continue to be given to other young people. [/p][p]The challenges that I will be undertaking are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest free standing mountain in the world and Africa's highest, with an altitude of 19,341ft. This will take around 6 days, with the help of Charlie Terry. I will then run the London Marathon in April 2020 (no help on this one unfortunately) before cycling the length of the UK from John O'Groats, at the tip of Scotland, to Lands End at the bottom of England in Cornwall. My Dad should be joining me on this one but with him turning 50 this year, there can be no guarantees! As we will be taking a longer route (around 950 miles) than the shortest 837 miles, I hope to complete it in 10-12 days! [/p][p]These challenges are certainly going to be some of the hardest things I have ever done but I am hoping that it will all be worth it and that we can reach our target. [/p][p]Any donation, big or small, will be so hugely appreciated! [/p][p]Thank you for spending the time to read this.[/p][p]Gregor [/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]

Not one but three epic challenges! Best of luck with them all. At this rate Uncle Stew might be the only McIntyre NOT to climb Kilimanjaro. Love you x
