My story

[p]Gravesend and District Theatre Guild are a community theatre in Gravesham, Kent (and registered charity themselves) who put on many wonderful performances each year as well as fundraising for other good causes through a variety of events. [/p][p]In 2019 they held their own performing arts fringe festival which helped raise money for three wonderful Kent based charities and in October they staged the 'Pink Party' in aid of Breast Cancer Now. These events were a great success and they were looking forward to holding them both again this year. Unfortunately due to the current situation this now isn't going to be possible, so having been inspired by one of Guild's members (Kay) who held an amazing virtual coffee morning earlier this summer in aid of Macmillan, the Good Stuff Festival was created as a one day virtual event to capture some of the best bits of these previous events. [/p][p][br][/p][p]The Good Stuff Festival in Kent is a one day virtual festival which brings the community together virtually, celebrates life and living well and helps raise funds in aid of five wonderful causes:[/p][p]Anim-Mates Animal Rescue (Caring for 100+ care for life animals at their sanctuary in Kent, where all helpers are voluntary and have no paid staff)[/p][p]Beams (Kent Based charity supporting disabled children, young people and their families)[/p][p]Coppafeel (A London based charity who educate and remind young people to check themselves in order to give everyone the best possible chance of surviving breast cancer)[/p][p]Breast Cancer Now (Helping those affected by Breast Cancer through world class research and providing life changing care)[/p][p]The Blurt Foundation (Not a charity but a foundation who help those affected by depression) [/p][p][br][/p][p]Please note that this event receives no funding and all of the organisers are volunteers who donate their time for free to help raise much needed funding for wonderful charities and causes.
