[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2013 London Legal sponsored walk.[/p][p]Our team is:- [span=color: #0000ff;][b]Andy Slaughter MP, Sara Taylor, Sue James, Zofia Duszynska, Surinder Matharu, Maria Coffee Kosarova, Charlotte Towerton, Simone McGlynn, Rachiel De Chavez, Richard 0'Keefe, Arwa Ali, Jim Shepherd[/b][/span][/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers who are raising funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London.[/p][p][span=color: #ff00ff;]Our team is raising funds for Hammersmith & Fulham Law Centre.[/span][/p][p]The need for legal help for the poorest and most vulnerable people in the Borough is growing rapidly. The recession is creating greater poverty while the rights of the poorest are under great threat from changing legislation.[/p][p]At the same time the government is imposing swingeing cuts to the funding of legal advice agencies.[/p][p]The funds we raise from events such as the walk have become absolutely vital to maintain our services in the face of these challenges.[/p][p][b]Please donate as generously as you are able[/b][/p][p][b]Many thanks for your support[/b][/p][p][i]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. It is shameful the way this government and this council have marginalised thousands of the very poorest people, leaving them in the cold. This independent law centre, and hundreds like it, are the only avenue some people have to legal 'equality'.
