Boston UK Marathon

[p]I'm a running mum (who loves cake!) and I work for a fab little charity in Yorkshire reaching all four corners of the world. I love my own kiddos passionately and believe in family wholeheartedly which is why working for SFAC is such a joy and why marathon training has spilled over into fundraising! All over the globe kids are separated from their families through tragedy, hardship and sometimes just simple misunderstanding, facing a childhood of institutional care. It can be so damaging and it's often unnecessary. Thankfully, the tide is turning! We work with local peeps internationally so that children have the opportunity to thrive in family life wherever possible through their safe return home, or through kinship, fostering or adoption. It's certainly not a quick process or a 'OSFA' approach. SFAC educates, equips and empowers communities with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to make these fundamental changes for the longterm. We've done so much with so little but the drive for change far outstrips our resources and we subsidise wherever we can. Every donation you make will support grassroots organisations across the world so that they can make family a possibility for every child. [/p]
