My story

[p]Hi all, [/p][p]Thanks for visiting my page![/p][p]I've been given the wonderful opportunity to sing the role of First Niece for Co-Opera Co's production of Britten's Peter Grimes. The Summer Development programme runs through all of August and also includes one-to-one mentoring, coachings and masterclasses with distinguished musicians as well as ongoing support after the programme has finished. [/p][p]So far in my singing development I have been lucky to have studied as a scholar on the Undergraduate course at the Royal Academy of Music and in September I will be studying on the Master's Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I shall continue my studies with my current teacher, Professor Susan McCulloch. I have performed principal roles with Hampstead Garden Opera, the Tete-a-Tete Opera Festival, the Voices of London Festival and the Grim's Dyke Opera Company as well as regularly singing for numerous recital series across the UK and as a soloist for choirs.[/p][p]I'm delighted to be singing the role of First Niece. Peter Grimes is my favourite opera, it never ceases to move me. I knew when I auditioned for Co-Opera Co that I would be in safe hands if they offered me a place. The panel gave me honest feedback as well as constructive advice. I am therefore thrilled to have been offered a place and can't wait to be start working with the Co-Opera team![/p][p]I'd be immensely grateful if you are able to offer a donation for this programme. It will be an invaluable experience for my development as a singer, you can find out more about the course here:[/p][p]http://co-opera-co.org/2015-summer-development-course/[/p][p]Thanks for taking the time to look at my fundraising page. You can find out a little more about me as well as regular updates from my website and twitter account:[/p][p]www.harrietburns.com[/p][p]@harrietburnssop[/p][p] Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
