My story

[p]On Saturday 4th May 2019 at Stockport's LIFE LEISURE Grand Central Swimming Pool, the FASTEST (hopefully) Swimming Relay will take place to raise money for the Mind Charity. [/p][p]100 swimmers will take to the blocks and swim 50m each to complete the Guinness World Record Attempt… and the WR time we have to beat is:[/p][p]46 MINUTES, 38 SECONDS[/p][p]For those of you that don’t know me, please allow me to introduce myself…[/p][p]My name is Harry Needs, and I’m 27 years old minority southerner living in big old Manchester. [/p][p]I live here with my daughter Summer, whom I love dearly despite her northern twang and best efforts to continually ask me for chocolate. I’m a super proud dad and all round I’m pretty positive guy, devoted to my friends and love for the health and fitness industry. Though it may not sound it when written down on piece of paper, I’m also a long-term sufferer of Mental Health. Yep that’s me, the mentalist….[/p][p]In 2016 and 2017, I went from some very tough hardship in my life which undoubtedly lead to path, to which I am grateful to return from. On reflection, swimming over the many years of life has been the best outlet I could have ever wished for, I can still to this day hear my mums voice in my head after a bad day, saying ‘take it out on the water’. I know too many people in my life who agonize and writhe over troubles related to mental health, and I’m not ok with it. [/p][p]With your help, I plan to awaken the force against the taboo of mental health in sport by raising a ton load of money for The Mind Charity who do so much work in supporting people (and known acquaintances) suffering from mental health and continues to raise awareness and understanding of issues related to mental health.[/p][p]_____________________________________________[/p][p]Venue: [/p][p]Saturday 4th May 2019 at Stockport Life Leisure Grand Central Swimming Pool[/p][p]Grand Central Square, Wellington Road South, Stockport, SK1 3TA [/p][p]4.00pm – 6.00pm[/p][p]Tickets – Buy at the door. (£5 Per Head)[/p][p]___________________________________________________[/p][p]Spectators are welcome to come and join in the fun and be part of the biggest swimming relay of the year… there will be raffle prizes and a huge cake sale run by Stockport Metro Swimming Club having all the proceeds going to our chosen charities.[/p][p]Thank you for your loving support.[/p][p]I am forever grateful for having an opportunity like this one and I look forward to seeing you all at the event in aid for a good cause. [/p][p]Please share this donation! [/p][p]Best wishes,[/p][p]Harry Needs[/p]
