My story

[p]Hi Everyone![/p][p]During the last few months I have been volunteering at the Wycombe Homeless Connection Night Shelter. Wycombe Homeless Connection is a local charity that supports the homeless community in High Wycombe, you can find out more about the charity here https://www.wyhoc.org.uk/ [/p][p]The Night Shelter runs from January – March and it provides an evening meal, moral support, a comfy bed, and breakfast to rough sleepers; on top of this WHC offer year-round support for those of us who for whatever reason find ourselves at risk of homelessness - like help with paperwork, facilities for freshening up, addiction support, you name it they do it! [/p][p]At WHC I have met a group of lovely, generous people, and their commitment to giving back to the society is inspiring! So… I have set myself a goal to raise some money to support their mission.[/p][p]As you probably know I am not new to extreme challenges, and for WHC I really wanted to find something that would push me to the limit and be deserving of your support! I write this message with a little apprehension as I am not completely confident that I can actually achieve this, but I promise to give it everything I've got - so here it comes… [/p][p]On 20th May this year, I will attempt to swim the length of Lake Windermere, the largest lake in England, with my trusty support crew (aka my boyfriend Mark, in his canoe) – ETA for great swimmers to complete the 11 miles is about 9hours, I’d be very happy to make it in 10! [/p][p]In support of my efforts, it would be great if you could sponsor me and together we can help WHC. [/p][p]Thank you so much 😊[/p][p] [/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
