My story

[p]In July 2019, I am taking part in my school's (St. Michael's Catholic Grammar School) annual Luanda Project. St Michael’s has a partnership with several schools in Luanda, in Kenya, including: St Joseph’s Rehabilitation Centre for Street children, Ebukuya School for the Deaf, Ebukuya Primary School, Ebusiratsi Secondary School and Ebukhiliti Primary School. Whilst I am in Kenya, I will be volunteering to teach in these schools and assisting with outings and games; allowing the students to learn about life in the UK and to take a break from traditional lessons. [/p][p]Over the past five years, previous volunteers have raised over £60,000 for the project, which has covered the cost of the project, including flights, accommodation, visas and food as well as resources for the projects and were also able to give approximately £12,000 donation between these five projects which has been spent on computers, books, stationery and improving facilities for living and learning. [/p][p]This year, I aim to help raise even more money, so I would be deeply grateful for any contribution you can make.[/p][p]Many thanks,[/p][p]Honour[/p][p][br][/p]
