My story

[p]Thank you for supporting the Howard League's 2018 London Legal Walk.[/p][p]Our team is: Marie Franklin, Anna Spencer, Natasha Hermans, Clare Simmons, Phil Goring, Laura Janes, Shimrit Janes, Danny Lang, Harriet Spicer, Joanna Harling, George Wilkinson, Greg Foxsmith, Adam Foxsmith, Deborah Baldwin, Helen Brown Coverdale, Christine Eysenck, Bill Bowder, Gill Goldie-Scot, Clare Barstow, Kamlesh Jadeja, Steve Roake, Simon Miller, Christine Deacon, Morag McNiven, Tyrone Steele, Philip Prior, Angela Dix, Claire, Roxy and Jazzy.[/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for our legal team and the brilliant service they provide.[/p][p]100% of funds on this page will be donated to the Howard League by the London Legal Support Trust without deduction.[/p][p]We are the only frontline national legal team specialising in the legal rights of children and young people in custody. Last year the Chief Inspector of Prisons said no jail he visited was safe for children.[/p][p]Through our confidential phone line we identify the problems and injustice faced by children and young people in the criminal justice system. We work to provide legal solutions for individuals, as well as wider policy changes to prevent the problems reoccurring for other young people.[/p][p]In 2017 we celebrated 15 years of successful legal work and produced a report detailing our major achievements.[/p][p]Since extensive legal aid cuts to prison law in 2013, calls to our free advice line have increased by over 62%. Our work is needed more than ever.[/p][p]If you want to find out more about our work with children and young people, please visit our website and become a member.[/p][p]http://www.howardleague.org/legal-work/[/p][p]Please donate as generously as you can[/p][p]Many thanks for your support[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations[/p]
