My story

[lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]This year I will be running the marathon for a cause very close to my heart - Horatio's Garden. Horatio Chapple was a very close family friend, and brother to my best mate Titus, who I have spent much of my childhood growing up with. Horatio was excited about his plans to study medicine and really enjoyed volunteering at Salisbury spinal centre in his school holidays. It was his patient research that established the need for a beautiful garden to be created. Tragically Horatio never lived to see the gardens and was killed by a polar bear while on an expedition in Svalbard. [/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Horatio's Garden is the charity which was inspired by Horatio's ideas to create beautiful accessbile gardens for patients in NHS spinal injury centres.[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]The charity builds the gardens and maintains them and also runs events and acitivities for patients like live music, art therapy and garden therapy. I've seen first hand what an effect being in a garden can have for patients who have been paralysed which is why I really want to help. [/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Have a look at www.horatiosgarden.org.uk[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Please do support my marathon - every pound will mean so much to me and Horatio's Garden. [/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Horatio's Garden. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
