My story

[p]We are the Humberside Police Concert Band a band consisting of serving officers supplemented by police volunteers. We perform throughout the counties covered by the Humberside Police Force and sometimes beyond.[/p][p]The Band, which is self-funding, chooses an annual charity every year to raise valuable funds for. This year the band has chosen to extend this support to two years, given the current Covid-19 crisis and the impact this is having on the charity sector. [/p][p]The band has decided to support two local hospices working on either side of the Humber from May 2020 until March 2022. We hope we'll be out and about playing concerts before not too long, but in the meantime we'll aim to bring music into your homes virtually and raise some money for these good causes in doing so.[/p][p]We would really appreciate any donations in support of the wonderful work done by these charities:[/p][p]Dove House Hospice- Dove House Hospice is a charity providing excellent care for adults in the Hull and East Riding area with life limiting illnesses. We are specialists in palliative care which is the total care of patients whose illness is no longer curable and for whom the goal must be quality of life.[/p][p]Lindsey Lodge Hospice- Situated in the heart of North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge Hospice has been providing high quality, specialist palliative care to local people and families living with life limiting illnesses for over 27 years. Every year, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers touch the lives of hundreds of people, either directly as patients, or by supporting family members or carers, before, during and after one of the most difficult times in their lives.[/p]
