My story

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I have been entrusted with one of the Alzheimer's Society's much sought after London Marathon places this year. My aim is to raise much needed awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Society.  This is important to me because I have been privileged to advise a number of people living with the challenges of Dementia in my role as a solicitor helping families plan for the future. It has also become a little more personal for me after my gran was diagnosed a few years ago. She lived with great courage and a gentleness of spirit until she passed away last year. Please take a moment to read a little about the Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Friends initiative. https://www.dementiafriends.org.uk. It's now under 2 months until race day and so please do smile and wave if you see me out training and, if you don't, then ask me how it's going!  Please feel free to send me any tips or encouragements that might help me get round the 26.2 miles! Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the Alzheimer'ss Society. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[p][/p]
