My story

[p]Just under 3 years ago, I quit my job in events to start working for a charity supporting people with learning disabilities. On the same day, I applied for a place in the London Marathon.[/p][p]Nearly 36 months on, I am still working for the charity and have finally got the opportunity to run 26.2 miles around our capital city. Through working for MacIntyre, I have seen at first hand the amazing work that is undertaken on a daily basis. This work allows the young people who are supported to gain an education, life skills & independence.[/p][p]I ran the Milton Keynes Marathon on behalf of MacIntyre in 2016 and the money raised then has been used to buy new equipment across various sites, which the young people use on a daily basis.[/p][p]This time, I have requested that 50% of money raised goes towards various projects being run by No Limits Buckinghamsire (https://www.macintyrecharity.org/our-services/children-young-people/no-limits/) and the other 50% goes towards financing the MacIntyre Big Hike 2018, which gives both adults & young people an opportunity to experience the great outdoors (https://www.macintyrecharity.org/seven-days-in-the-peak-district/).[/p][p]Any donation will be gratefully received & make a huge difference.[/p][p]Cheers.[/p][p]https://www.macintyrecharity.org/[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
