My story

[p]Hi![/p][p]This fundraising is for an important cause, very close to my heart. [/p][p]Many of you know that I am involved in raising awareness of Neurodiversity in bp and externally. My passion stems from my special son, Adam. He has been diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3. He is now 8 years old. He drives my advocacy efforts in multiple settings. Adam has complex needs, with additional ADHD and OCD, and every day he needs to find strength and resilience to go on and find his way in this world, with parental guidance and various therapists' advices.[img][/img][/p][p] [/p][p]Raising a child with special needs is very challenging. It affects the family wellbeing. I found a new love for running, and since starting this February, I have not stopped. I wanted to push myself whilst raising awareness and, crucially money, for autism research. So I will be running at the London Marathon event very soon, on the 3rd of October (!), proudly raising funds for the UK charity Autistica. Not sure if I've already donated (lots of friends and colleagues ran this marathon and I've lost track!) but it is such a worthy cause, even if I had, it would still be worth it. Congratulations my friend. Well done.
