Team story

[p]AN EPIC EXPEDITION ACROSS THE WILDERNESS OF ALASKA AND THE YUKON TRAILS[/p][p]Conflicts are often forgotten; however the effects for those who served in them can last forever. Into the Wild is an arduous 2000 mile unsupported expedition across one of the last remaining wildernesses to raise money for those who serve and those who have served. [/p][p]Your funds are not supporting any costs associated with this expedition with every pound that you donate going towards Rock to Recovery through the Royal Marines Charity and for the Special Boat Service Association. [/p][p]The charities provide support for serving members and veterans offering a range of services with a significant focus towards supporting those with post-traumatic stress disorder.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The Expedition:[/p][p]The main expedition will see Sean and Foxy retracing the Klondike Gold Rush route starting with a 49 mile hike from Skagway over the Chilkoot pass in Alaska followed by a 1,980 mile kayak along the Yukon River to the Bering Sea. Carl and Toby will be joining them as guests for 460 miles of kayaking. The expedition will be unsupported and self-sustained throughout with 8-10 hours of paddling a day, pitching camp and living rough for the duration.[/p][p]“An opportunity to appreciate wilderness and reflect on the adversity faced by those who serve and those who have served as well as our forebears; while hopefully avoiding the bears! Thank you for your support” - The Expedition Team, Sean Johnson and Jason Fox and guests Carl Sykes and Toby Harding.[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]

Just fantastic and to raise money to a good charity. Very inspirational hence my donation. Have had C-PTSD since 1964 and just seeing the light now after 13 years in the RAF struggling throughout so a donation to the Royal Marines means a lot, Therapy!
