My story

[p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]Hello[/span] all[/p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]I am running the marathon, at 40 and a bit top heavy, with no long distance running under the belt for 15 years! But that’s not the important message.[/span][/p][p][p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]This Journey is very personal for me and my family, as my son James Joseph has been under the care of GOSH since birth.[/span] [/p][p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]James was born with a Cleft Palate, in summary he was born with a large gap in his soft palate.  So he was unable to feed properly.  After being feed by tube for the first part of his life he was operated on by GOSH surgeons and his mouth was fixed.  Whilst the surgeon and his team were amazing the  first class level of care before and after that GOSH and their affiliate hospitals provide is incredibly important.[/span][/p][p][p] [span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]As you can see James is a very happy 3 year old.  He does still need support for his hearing and his speech and language ,but he is well on his way to a normal life thanks to GOSH and The wider NHS.[/span] [/p][p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]And as parents Joanne and I have been given fantastic support by the many different medical teams we have and continue to see.  Indeed James will be under their care until his late teens to check his progress and needs.[/span] [/p][p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]I am sure you all agree this is a wonderful charity and unfortunately there are many children much worse off than James who need their help. [/span][/p][p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]Please give what you can and many thanks in advance for your generosity[/span][/p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]Many thanks[/span][/p][p][span=font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: "Verdana",sans-serif; color: black;]James[/span] [/p][p][p] [/p][/p][/p][/p][/p][/p][/p][/p][/p]
