My story

[p]Over three days this September will see a team from John Lewis Partnership Property & Development Team together with suppliers rise to a significant cycling challenge. [/p][p]Mont Ventoux is a mountain in the Provence region of Southern France and has become legendary as the scene of one of the most gruelling climbs in the Tour de France bicycle race, which has ascended the mountain fifteen times since 1951. The followed trail mostly passes through Bédoin. Its fame as a scene of great Tour dramas has made it a magnet for cyclists around the world. At 6,263ft it is the highest mountain in the region and has been nicknamed the "Beast of Provence”. [/p][p]It’s a challenge that the team will conquer tackling three routes - depending on the weather conditions: [/p][p]Minimum route: 55km with 1700m of ascent – over 1 ascent.[/p][p]Classic route 106km with 2800m ascent – over 2 ascents.[/p][p]Challenge route: 136km with 4443m ascent – over 3 ascents.[/p][p]The JLP P&D & suppliers team are hoping to raise between £20,000 to £30,000 from this event for homeless young people. But they need your support to achieve that. [/p]
