Team story

[lt]h3[gt]Who We Are[lt]/h3[gt][p]TeamJP3 run in memory of our dad, John Pettigrew, JP3, to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre, and the Accord Hospice in a continued effort to thank them for all they did for him.[/p][p]The team originally comprised of JP3's son, Joe, daughter, Lisa, and her husband, Sean. However, this time around Lisa has had to drop out due to the arrival on the scene of a little Pettigrew-Rennie, and so stepping in for the team will be Joe's fiancée, Emma.[/p][lt]h3[gt]What We're Doing[lt]/h3[gt][p]Following on from the success of our first two events - the Great Scottish Run 10k in 2010 and the Santa Dash 5k in 2011 - TeamJP3 are lacing up their trainers once again! This time for the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon.[/p][p]Last time we managed to smash our target and raise over £700 for our charities with the GSR 10k, so this year we have set a goal of £800. It's ambitious but we know how generous you guys are![/p][lt]h3[gt]When We're Doing It[lt]/h3[gt][p]The race takes place on Sunday 6th October 2013 and we would really appreciate all the support you can give us in the run up! Any and all advice is welcome. Training has already begun![/p][lt]h3[gt]How You Can Help[lt]/h3[gt][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p]To find out more you can head over to our own website to see how you can help out, whether that is by giving training advice, music recommendations, or even support on raceday, all the information you need is at www.JP3.org.uk[/p][p]We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
