My story

[p]**Update** Unfortunately due to the latest government announcement regarding COVID19, Spartan UK have had to cancel this event. [/p][p]In light of this I will still be taking on the challenge of running all 3 distances, solo, over 2 days through the South Downs. This adaptation will see me take on a 21k cross country run on Saturday the 10th October followed by a 10K cross country Sunday morning, followed by a 5k cross country in the afternoon. Whilst this isn't the challenge I set out to complete originally I still feel this is a great opportunity to raise some money for some very worthy charities. [/p][p]If you would still like to donate and are in a position to do so, any support would be greatly appreciated.[/p][p] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------[/p][p]I will be taking part in Spartan Race in October, aiming to complete their Trifecta Challenge, with the goal of completeing 3 obstacle races (21k, 10k & 5k). Normally these races are spread throughout the year however I have set myself the challenge of completing all 3 races over 2 days, to raise money for Bowel & Cancer Research and Crohns & Colitis UK.[/p][p]As a product designer working in Ostomy Care these are two charities I have worked with on a number of occasions, seeing first hand the great work they do in both supporting people and their ongoing research efforts. [/p][p]In light of Covid-19 many charities are suffering from fewer donations this year, one of the reasons for this is due to fundraising events and races like this one being cancelled. Given that these races are still going ahead (following government guidelines) I would like to use this opportunity to help raise money for these very worthy charities. [/p][p]If you are in the position to donate, anything would be a great help . . . Wish me luck![/p]
