My story

[p]Hi all,[/p][p]Lots of people have asked me why I am running the London Marathon – well, three reasons really...[/p][p]Firstly, I'm going to raise money for three brilliant charities who will all benefit with the funds I hopefully raise![/p][p]Secondly, it’s something I've always wanted to do, and to do it alongside my good pal Bradley will be an amazing experience.[/p][p]Thirdly, when I won the place at a charity auction, I was a few drinks down. Ha-ha![/p][p]As mentioned above, I'm raising money for three charities – all of which I truly believe in the work they do. The first is ‘Make A Wish’ - they deliver life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Make A Wish have given me one of their places for the Marathon and, therefore, 50% of the funds raised will go to them![/p][p]The second charity is ‘Ambition, Aspire ,Achieve’, a local charity that works in East London to help young people grow in conference through opportunities. 25% of the funds raised will go to them.[/p][p]The final charity is ‘DT38’. This foundation was set up in memory of Dylan Tombides, an Australian international who also played for West Ham United. In 2014, Dylan sadly passed away due to testicular cancer. The foundation’s objectives are to raise self-awareness of testicular cancer and also educate people about the cancer. 25% of the funds raised will go to them.[/p][p]If you can give, please do - it would be most appreciated.[/p][p]Thank you.[/p][p] [/p][p] [/p]
