My story

[p]After getting a ballot place in the London Marathon 2020, I didn't know what a strange year this would be! Luckily I will still get to run in this iconic event but that will be in October 2021. In the meantime, I have signed up to run in the 'virtual marathon' on the 4th October and I can run and/or walk the distance but stay local and continue to raise funds for The Sepsis Trust and Breast Cancer Now. What this also means is that I can have friends and family running, walking and cycling laps with me around my local village which will be amazing. [/p][p]My employer, VSL are supporting my efforts by promoting the charities on their website and on achievement of my £1,500 target, they will match my fundraising with another £1,500 which is fantastic![/p][p]I am continuing to follow the Virgin Marathon training guide for beginners and although it has been challenging mentally with the date changes, I am determined to complete the 26.2 miles on the 4th in response to all those who have already donated - thank you so much. This year charities need our support more than ever so if you can make a donation, however small, it WILL make a difference. [/p][p]Thank you.[/p]
