My story

[p]I was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma in March 2020, about a week before the UK went into lockdown. I started treatment with immunotherapy in June, which is ongoing, and have regular scans to assess the progress.[/p][p]Money raised for Melanoma Focus goes towards funding research into treating melanoma, as well as helping support patients with advice and guidance. [/p][p]Personally though, the daily miles help me deal with the side effects of cancer and the cancer treatment. They also allow me to hang out with my daughter Jess while we wander all the local trails and keep me fit and healthy enough to deal with the monthly dose of strong drugs.[/p][p]New treatments are changing the prognosis for Stage 4 cancers and that can only happen with continued work and funding.
