Beat the Beacons Beast - EFOD 2019

[p]Last year, I completed my first EFOD event - Cycling home to Cardiff from the Peak District. A gruelling 210 miles, 18000+ ft elevation and 19 hours on the saddle clearly wasn't enough to put me off.[/p][p]On the 6th July, i'll be joining my Arup colleagues once again to raise money for EFOD, a charity created in Wales with the aim to deliver engineering projects that improve the health, hygiene, education and self-sufficiency of poverty afflicted communities in a sustainable manner. We are currently supporting a school being built in Uganda with free design work and engineers who have the expertise to build modern, efficient buildings that will last.[/p][p]This year, we start our 200 mile route from Carmarthen University, through the (rather hilly) Brecon Beacons National Park and finally home to Cardiff. [/p][p]I'd be very grateful if you can spare any change to support this fantastic charity. All proceeds go directly to EFOD and the cost of ride is covered by the riders. [/p][p]Can I beat last years time of 19 hours?[/p]
