My story

[p]Hey, I’m so proud to announce that Jamie have done 15,416 steps in the last day of the week therefore he have achieved 103,525 steps in a week! [/p][p][br][/p][p]He has been amazing because we have had many days of rain, hail, and wind; and we have had few times where his watch crashed and didn’t pick up some of the steps he was attempting but he still didn’t give up and still managed to achieve his mission.[/p][p]Thank you all for all your support and donations. [/p][p]Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Captain Tom 100 challenge.[/p][p]From Friday 30 April to Monday 31st May, I am taking on the Captain Tom 100 to raise funds for The Captain Tom Foundation, which was created with Captain Tom, to ensure his message of hope becomes an enduring legacy.[/p][p]Friday 30 April would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore's 101st birthday and the one-year anniversary of the extraordinary celebrations following the conclusion of his famous 100 laps of his garden that raised an incredible £38.9 million for the NHS. Captain Tom's family have pledged to celebrate his life with an event that everyone, in the UK and around the world, could get involved in. That event is #CaptainTom100[/p][p]The coronavirus pandemic has caused so much uncertainty and strain, particularly for those facing loneliness and mental health issues, and we want to help as much as we can.[/p][p]The Captain Tom Foundation will be using the activity around Captain Tom 100 to support charities including The Mix, Young Minds and Place2be who are doing incredible work supporting our young people's mental health as we emerge from this crisis. [/p][p][br][/p][p]For this challenge, I decided to do 100,000 steps through the week starting on Thursday 20th May 2021. [/p][p]For the people who do not know me, this will be a challenge for me; especially when I go outside to places and environments which can be loud - sound wise. I do struggle with this due to my autism and sensory processing difficulties. [/p][p]I will be using my watch to record my steps and I will take a photo every night showing how many steps per day for a week and add them on here. [/p][p]Please can you donate to keep me motivated and determined to do this challenge? [/p][p]Thank you for your support. Together we can ensure that tomorrow will be a good day![/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
