My story

[p]Hi there good people[/p][p]As many of you people visiting this page will know, I have a passion for running... Whilst a regular and competive (reasonably) runner, I do this over 5-21.1km. I have completed one road marathon in 2012 which was tough. I am now pushing this further by entering the Salisbury 54321 event in which I will run the 50km trail ultra-marathon distance (31 miles for those still using the imperial system) [/p][p]In the build up to the event I will be running club championship races and will be using various trail races from 10km-marathon distances as preparation for the main event in August. [/p][p]I am raising money in a 50-50 split between two charities. [/p][p]Firstly the Pituitary Foundation, a charity thgat over many years now has provided my Grandad with a great deal of support after diagnoisis of acromegaly. The charity provides support up and down the countries to those that suffer from all manner of pituitary realted illnesses, as well a their families and friends. My Grandad is the group coordinator for the Liverpool support group. [/p][p]The second charity the MND (motor neuron disease) Association is a charity that has recently come to play a role within my family as my Gran has recently been diagnoised with the illness. Whilst at the moment only her speech has deteriorated the disease is likely to progress and make life very complicated for her. The MND Association , like the Pituitary Foundation will provide much needed support for my Gran. [/p][p]I ask therefore for you to please give generously and if you require any further information relating to any of the charities please visit the websites below [/p][p]The Pituitary Foundation- https://www.pituitary.org.uk/[/p][p]The MND Association- https://www.mndassociation.org/[/p][p]If you yourself suffer from a pituitary realted illness or know of someone with a pituitary illness and need support, guidance or just somebody to talk to please feel free to contact Steven Ainsworth on 01706 849 148 or email stshains@hotmail.com[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for reading [/p][p]Jarrod Gritt [/p]
