My story

[p]We are Team Connor, a team on a mission to #enduchenne by raising much needed funds to find a cure.[/p][p]Unfortunately, our flagship fundraising event, the Duchenne Dash, has been cancelled this year. [/p][p]Instead Team Connor and the Duchenne community are riding from London to Paris from their homes as part of the Dash @ Home virtual ride. It’s not going to be easy, 300k in 24hrs on turbo trainers!! But to make this harder I have decided to do a virtual run to Paris During May and then ride the distance back to London from Paris on the weekend of 12th & 13th June (within 24 hours.)[/p][p]Like many charities, the current situation is hitting us hard. [/p][p]Duchenne doesn’t allow for time to stop, on a daily basis it is hitting the boys as their muscles become more affected. [/p][p]Please help us on our journey and donate what you can to ensure we continue the momentum into finding a cure and helping us to #endduchenne.[/p][p]Who are we? [/p][p]A team dedicated to a gorgeous, boisterous, fun loving, fancy dress wearing and rather loud 8 year old boy from Tonbridge, Kent. [/p][p]In February 2016, Connor was diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy called Duchenne. [/p][p]Shortly afterwards Chasing Connor’s Cure was founded.[/p][p]?Duchenne attacks the muscles and in most cases mobility is lost by the age of 10. It will eventually attack the lungs and heart which will lead to shortened life expectancy.[/p][p] Unfortunately, today it has no cure. However, we are on a mission to #endduchenne by raising vital funds and awareness to accelerate finding a cure to save Connor and boys like him.[/p]
