Everest Rugby Challenge

[p]As some of you know Jeff (Broderick) and Mark (Ackred) do nothing by halves. This story started when we got stuck up a mountain, in a car, with no fuel, a bottle of aftershock and one jacket, ever since that incredibly cold and long night back in Val D'isere we have felt the need to recreate a small part of it....the mountain bit and what better one to choose than the beautiful beast that is EVEREST?!?!?!?[/p][p]So....we are going to Mount Everest, ADVANCED Basecamp to be precise or if you prefer Approx 21,000+ Ft Altitude , to play the highest ever recorded game of rugby. The best part of it all is the chance to raise (collectively) £200k and positively transform the lives of children and young people with a disability or facing disadvantage across the UK and Ireland through the power of rugby. [/p][p]Its a 24 day mission, 6500m climb, (twice as high as either of us have ever been before) and then we are playing a game of rugby....what could possibly go wrong....????[/p][p]So please, dig deep, hope we make it there, and back, we appreciate every penny, and those children will too.[/p][p]Big love [/p][p]Mark & Jeff[/p]
