My story

[p]Ladies & Gents, [/p] [p]Commencing on the 9[sup]th[/sup] March and finishing on the 11[sup]th[/sup] May, I will be embarking on a series of running events over a 9 week period to raise some funds for two charities that are close to my heart. [/p][p]I am unable to run the London Marathon this year, so I decided upon a series of running events to compensate for not running in such a high profile event![/p] [p]I will be running the:[/p] [ul] [li]Adidas Silverstone 13.1 mile Half Marathon (9[sup]th[/sup] March), [/li] [li]Essex 20 mile road race (March 16[sup]th[/sup])[/li] [li]Brighton 26.2 mile Marathon (April 6[sup]th[/sup])[/li] [li]Halstead & Essex 26.2 mile Marathon (11[sup]th[/sup] May) [/li] [/ul] [p][/p] [p]With a combined total of 85.5 miles in the space of 9 weeks, you could be forgiven for thinking I was a few cards short of a deck, but this is as an ideal opportunity to raise a bit of cash for two fantastic children’s charities.[/p] [p]Starlight Children’s Foundation aims to grant wishes for seriously ill children and to provide stimulating programmes in hospital.[/p] [p]Micro and Anophthalmic Children’s Society (MACS) are the UK’s national charity for children born without eyes or with underdeveloped eyes and provide support and care to families.[/p] [p]Please take a couple of minutes, with the help of your debit/credit card, out of your day to pledge some wedge and do what you can – I’m certainly putting the effort in this end with the 5:30 am pre work runs and various training sessions![/p] [p][/p][p]Thanks to you all.[/p] [p]Jeff[/p]
