My story

[p]I'm a jazz & blues singer pianist based in the UK, and also an ex hospital psychiatrist. It's Mental Health Awareness Week and I'm performing the final show of my 8 Facebook Live gig series. I'm raising money for two wonderful mental health charities by "singin' the blues" and hope people will donate generously. [/p][p]I firmly believe that the cost of Covid-19 to the mental health of the population is, and will continue to be, inconceivably high. My experience is that mental health is frequently overlooked, as people understandably donate to other more 'visible' areas of care (as indeed did I earlier in my gig series), but now I believe mental health should become the focus of attention in the coming weeks and months.[/p][p]My first 4 fundraising gigs for the NHS and Intensive Care Society raised a whopping £11,500, so I'm really hopeful we can make a difference here. [/p][p]Thanks for joining me! [/p][p]Jeremy[/p][p]x [/p]
