My story

[p]Thank you for visiting my page and donating, every penny goes to Wooden Spoon and is greatly appreciated.[/p][p]I have been very lucky to have been able to play rugby for the past 22 years and through it I have made life long friends and become part of a very extended rugby family. Rugby has given me so many happy memories, as well as friendship and a sense of belonging and my hope is that the money raised through this challenge will allow children and young people to share in these experiences. Wooden Spoon funds so many fantastic projects including wheelchair rugby teams, Riding for the Disabled, creating sensory rooms and supporting young people through training and employment. For more information on Wooden Spoon and the great work they do please go to: www.woodenspoon.org.uk[/p][p]Having played most of my matches in the north during deepest darkest winter a game just below the summit of Everest seemed the natural progression. Our 24 day challenge will culminate in a Guinness World Record attempt to play, at a height of 6500m, the highest game of rugby in history. [/p][p]The challenge for me is three fold, getting fit enough, raising £10,000 and joining the world of social media (the latter being the most traumatic); so any help you can give me with any of the above will be welcomed and appreciated. [/p][p]Please follow my journey and help raise the profile of the challenge and Wooden Spoon www.twitter.com/jesscheesman5[/p][p]Thank you again.[/p][p]Jess [/p]
