My story

[p]I've decided to run the Vitality London 10k in the memory of Liberty Schurer, who sadly passed away in October 2017 after batting Ewing's Sarcoma, just two weeks after her 14th birthday. Ewing's Sarcoma is a very rare and aggressive form of bone cancer for which survival rates have not improved in over 30 years, and treatment protocols remain decades old. [/p][p]Despite being only 14, Liberty fought her battle with cancer so bravely. She has continued to be such an inspiration for so many people, including myself. Her greatest wish throughout her fight and for the future was for awareness and funds to be raised for vital research in her name. She did not want any other child to suffer the way that she had or any other family to endure the heartbreak that her family had to.[/p][p]This is why I have decided to join the challenge of partaking in the Vitality London 10k in May. I will be running with many friends, including Liberty's older sister Liv, who is one of my greatest inspirations and does her sister proud every day. [/p][p]So please, support TeamLibs and myself in this amazing event! Any donation, no matter how big or small will contribute to potential life saving research. [/p][p]Wish me luck![/p]
