Team story

[p]Jess, my wonderful daughter, has set us all another challenge this year. We are to ride the longest zip wire in Europe – the Titan Zip Wire in North Wales! We will be raising money for 3 special charities.[/p][p]MacIntyre – a national charity that has been providing support to people with learning disabilities for 50 years[/p][p]Guide Dogs – a national charity that supports blind and partially sighted people to enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else[/p][p]Shropshire Disability Network (SDN) – a local charity that provides a powerful collective voice for disabled people across Shropshire.[/p][p]These charities have been chosen because of the personal links they have with Jess. MacIntyre provide the care and support that gives her the quality of life she deserves. She volunteers for Guide Dogs where she has learnt so much about how they give those with sight problems such support by training these wonderful dogs.[/p][p]Jess and I have worked with SDN over the last few years. They do such wonderful work supporting and informing people living with disabilities, who have nowhere else to turn. They are also a lobbying group, willing to help you fight your battles.[/p][p]This is a team challenge, and we are thrilled to have 22 people joining us for the event. We really hope we can raise as much money as possible for these 3 wonderful charities.[/p][p]Unfortunately, Jess is unable to take part, due to damage to her eyes, but she will be there cheering us on. Cuddles, Jess’s teddy bear and constant companion, has every intention of joining us! [/p][p]If you can help us raise funds for these 3 fantastic charities we would be so grateful. [/p][p]Thank you Jo and Jess (and Cuddles) xx[/p]
