My story

[p]Hi thanks for visiting my page, I am raising money for St Clare Hospice in memory of my Mum Barbara  who sadly passed away in December 2016 after  a long illness.  I will always be grateful for the time as a family we were able to have there, the warmth and peace of the environment and the care and support of the staff who are true angels.[/p][p]I very much wanted to do something positive in memory of my Mum and to support such an amazing and important place. I am not a very sporty person, (I like to walk but not run) but I have always enjoyed a bit of fair weather cycling. So in my wisdom I decided (with much hard work and with many hours in the saddle) that I could ride 100 miles in the London Prudential. A very tall order for me but it has a good purpose and if it was going to be easy it wouldn’t be a challenge! (I also get to wear lycra in public!)[/p][p]St Clare Hospice are a charity based organisation and you can visit their page to see all that they do at www.stclarehospice.org.uk. Information on the cycle ride can be seen on https://www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk/.[/p][p]I also hope to add pictures and infomation as i go along with my training too, as soon as i work out how :-)[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
