My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support  - it will help me push on through the wall when I reach mile 20![/p][p][span=color: #212121; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, "Segoe UI", "Segoe WP", Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;]I also want to let you know a bit more information about the project for which the Marathon team will be raising money this year. The focus of this year's effort will go towards the work of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) operating in Maban South Sudan. JRS is working to fund and operate educational and psychosocial support services for both the refugee community there as well as the local 'host' community', which has also been devastated by years of violence and war.[/span][/p][lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]In 2017 the money you raise will help the people of Maban.[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]We will provide quality education for children and adults and work with the community to offer counselling, training and capacity building, and recreation and life skills for young people.[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]Every donation will make a difference:[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£10 will buy a comfort kit, including soap and sanitary pads, for a girl in secondary school[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£26 will pay for a primary school pupil’s school supplies for a year[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£50 will pay for a solar lantern for evening study/safety for a student[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£100 will pay the monthly salary of a community librarian[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£300 will pay for a bicycle to enable teachers to travel to and from work each day[/p] [lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]£500 will pay for children and young people’s recreational activities for a month[/p][lt]p style="font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: medium;"[gt]Each JM team member’s targeted fundraising goal is £2000, which will pay two teachers’ salaries for a year.[/p][p][/p][p][span=color: #212121; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, "Segoe UI", "Segoe WP", Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;]Please see the below link: [/span][/p][p][span=color: #212121; font-family: wf_segoe-ui_normal, "Segoe UI", "Segoe WP", Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13.3333px;]http://www.jrsea.org/campaigns_focus?TN=PROMO-20101108053734 [/span][/p][p]http://en.jrs.net/campaigns_focus?TN=PROMO-20150326065614 [/p][p][/p][p][/p]
