My story

[vmgvideo class="ql-video" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/420636939/" frameborder="0"][/vmgvideo][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p]Starting on the 7th June this year I will be attempting to ascend and descend the total height of Mt. Everest from sea-level to summit over 7 consecutive days. This equates to climbing a standard step-ladder 507 times a day![/p][p]Soon after I started training, my daughter Hollie told me that she wanted to join me in the challenge, so we are now hard in training whilst socially distancing from each other.[/p][p]After committing to this challenge training has been increasing, and I'm rapidly realising how unfit I am, and the effort that is going to be involved in pulling this off.[/p][p]Now more than ever, UK charities need our help in these difficult times. After some careful consideration about which charities to pick, 2 charities stood out, 1. The NHS and 2. The Neuro Therapy Centre.[/p][p]The NHS because they are doing a sterling job and deserve our respect and support in normal times, but since the start of the pandemic it has become increasingly clear how much we all need and rely on a healthy NHS.[/p][p]After learning that the Neuro Therapy Centre (NTC) needs close to £10,000 per month just to turn over, it was clear that they need our help, particularly since they support 500+ people in the local area who are living with a long-term neurological condition for which there is no cure. This charity has managed to completely re-invent the way it delivers its services since COVID19 struck, and now operates as a virtual Centre, staying in regular contact with its members and offering exercise classes via zoom. It's main aim is to support and protect it's members who are self isolating and keep them out of hospital, which could have a catastrophic effect on them at the moment.[/p][p]I hope you will agree with me and show your support by sharing my story, and donating to my charities.[/p][p]https://www.nhscharitiestogether.co.uk/[/p][p]https://www.neurotherapycentre.org/[/p][p][br][/p]
