My story

[p]Our close friend, colleague and father, Jon Walker passed away on Monday 22nd March 2010. Jon had been fighting cancer for the last 15 months. Throughout that time he showed immense positive mental strength to all around him and this is testament to his attitude to life and his coming to terms with his condition.[/p][p]Jon had many achievements in his life. He was a proud father, a terrific husband and enjoyed sport; tennis, running, cycling and supporting his two football teams Watford and Stoke City. He was a keen musician, accomplished on the bass guitar and he recorded his own compositions at home.[/p][p]His attitude to his work was that it was to be enjoyed and yet he also conducted himself with the utmost professionalism. A graduate of Leeds University, he helped pioneer the use of gravity model techniques in retail location planning and worked with many major UK retail clients and in particular as a founder and director of GeoBusiness Solutions.[/p][p]Jon is survived by his wife Corinne, his first wife Jill and their 3 boys William, Sam and Joseph.[/p][p]Family, friends and colleagues are meeting on the 28th March 2020 to remember Jon and enjoy time together talking about the good times together ...... we are all going down the pub.... it would have been what Jon wanted.....[/p][p]Jon's family would like us to support MacMillan Cancer Support in memory of Jon.[/p][p]MacMillan are there to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we're right there with you.
