My story

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]Thanks for visiting my page. As I’m sure you all know by now, I am running the Virgin Money London Marathon on 22nd April 2018. I successfully won a ballot place last year and this will be my first ever marathon! [/p][p]I have decided to run in memory of my late Grandmother, Jean Margaret England. Nan suffered for over 15 years from the awful Parkinson’s disease before passing away in 2009. This serves as a great opportunity to raise some money and awareness for a fantastic charity called The Cure Parkinson’s Trust.[/p][p]The Cure Parkinson’s Trust was founded and is led by people with Parkinson’s with the ultimate aim of finding a cure. All proceeds donated to this great charity are used for research and testing to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s.[/p][p]Below is a link to The Cure Parkinson’s Trust website, and I do urge you all to take a look at some of the amazing things that they are doing to ultimately try to cure Parkinson’s disease.[/p][p] https://www.cureparkinsons.org.uk/[/p][p]I would be extremely grateful for any contributions you could make, as this will not only give me the extra motivation needed to complete the 26.2 miles, but will also greatly benefit this wonderful charity. It’s also worth noting that any money I do raise will be generously matched by my employer![/p][p]I really appreciate all your support, and thank you for any donations you wish to make. [/p][p]Jon[/p][p] [/p]
