Team story

[p]Hi, [/p][p]Thanks for visiting our page. [/p][p]We're Jonny and Neil. You might remember our story from the [span=color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: small;]#[/span]findmike campaign and subsequent 2015 Channel 4 documentary, The Stranger on the Bridge. [/p][p]We are now both active mental health campaigners-visiting schools, hospitals, prisons and workplaces across the UK to talk about mental health and suicide prevention. [/p][p]We are aiming to spread the message that mental health is nothing to be ashamed about, and that through talking we can stop the shocking rate of suicide within this country. It is now the biggest killer of men in the UK under 45, and at its highest in a decade for women. [/p][p]In 2016 we launched a mental health initiative in schools, ThinkWell, and Jonny spent time in India carrying out mental health work there.[/p][p]2017 sees our biggest challenge yet though..running the London marathon together for the charity Heads Together. [/p][p]We are aiming to raise £100,000 to be split between various charities such as Mind, YoungMinds, Place2Be, CALM and various other mental health and suicide prevention charities. [/p][p]The work they do is so incredibly important, especially now at a time when we are seeing overwhelming cuts in the mental health service.[/p][p]Please give whatever you can to make a difference. If you can't give anything at all that's completely cool. Just a message of support for the marathon would be very much appreciated![/p][p]To find out more, please visit www.facebook.com/strangeronthebridge or Jonny's website at http://jonnybenjamin.co.uk/[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Heads Together. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.  [/p][p]All our love and gratitude,[/p][p]Jonny and Neil x[/p][p]A big thank you to Herbert Smith Freehills for your generous donation of £10,000 - you have made a huge impact on our target and also a great contribution to improving mental health services in the UK.[/p]
